This series of conversations about “Race”, was inspired by a presentation offered in the seminar series “Grappling with Complexity” hosted by the NRF SARChI Chair in Identities and Social Cohesion in Africa, Faculty of Humanities at Nelson Mandela University. The need for continued conversations about race was sparked by the original seminar presentation, entitled “Race and Complexity”, which was presented by Gary Koekemoer (Philosophy) in conversation with Vulindlela Nyoni (Visual Arts) and Nehemiah Latolla (Chemistry). For these continued conversations the three speakers were joined by Glenn Holtzman (Music) and Danai Thembo (Development Studies). All conversation partners are from Nelson Mandela University.
